Friday 11th February

Another week closer to the season, and another week of good progress.

At the 18th, the other half of the top-soil was pulled to one side and the cry from the links was "mair sand Honeyman".

Once more sand was added the top-soil was put back.

Irrigation boxes were moved to suit the rise of the ground and the soil was then prepared ready for turf.

Elsewhere this week, bunker construction at the 1st fairway,

17th fairway,

2 at the 2nd fairway, 1 at the 6th green and

1 at the 10th green.

The other picture shows the new tea hut construction underway.

Today, we had a course walk with LGU (Ladies Golf Union) and IMG (organisers of the Ricoh - Women's British Open). The main focus on today's walk was about the set-up of the course for the week of the tournament.
